Vision / Statement of intent

 

The extended school initiative, which embraces the 'Every Child Matters' agenda, has at its focus the raising of attainment and standards in schools by engaging students and  their parents more positively in learning.

It will achieve this by :-

providing a coherent and easily accessible range of extended  school and local services, that help pupils engage more readily.

building strong relationships with parents and the wider community we will strive  to encourage parents to become more actively involved in their child's learning.

It is recognised that a child's environment and circumstances have a significant impact  on its learning, attainment and future life chances.  Engaging parents and carers in the  learning process will have a positive effect on the child's achievement.

To all parents/Carers

 

In the foyer of both buildings is a black box which contains important 'CHILDREN AND FAMILIES INFORMATION'.

 

There is information and leaflets on Children's Centres, Childminders, Childcare Vouchers, Free Nursery Education, Early Years and Childcare Service, Childcare Vouchers, Pre-School Playgroups, Before and After School Clubs, Holiday Playschemes, Parent and Toddler Groups, Child Tax Credit and Working Tax Credit, Families First Team, Parent Partnership Service, Working in Childcare, Youth Service, Extended Schools.
